This 4 day safari takes you to one of the most remote and untouched wilderness area Kidepo Valley National Park in northeastern Uganda near the borders of South Sudan and Kenya, where vast savannah plains, rugged mountains, and seasonal river valleys will create a dramatic landscape. You will experience incredible wildlife viewing opportunities, including lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and ostriches moving freely across open plains. You will also meet the Karamojong people, who will share their traditional pastoral lifestyle. A great experience that combines scenic drives, game drives, cultural experiences, and relaxing evenings in the wild.
Itinerary
Embark on a remarkable 4-Day Kidepo Valley National Park Safari, a journey to one of Africa's most remote and spectacular wilderness destinations. Nestled in Uganda's rugged northeastern frontier, Kidepo Valley National Park offers breathtaking landscapes, abundant wildlife, and authentic cultural encounters. This safari combines exciting game drives across the Narus and Kidepo Valleys, opportunities to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, cheetahs, and ostriches, with a visit to the fascinating Karamojong community. Perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers, this experience promises unforgettable wildlife encounters, stunning scenery, and the true spirit of the African wilderness.
You will start your journey from Kampala/ Entebbe towards Kidepo Valley National Park. You will travel for about 9–12 hours through towns such as Gulu and Kitgum where you will observe Uganda’s changing landscapes from urban areas to rural villages and open countryside, have a stop for lunch along the way before continuing your drive north. Arriving in the evening, check in your lodge for rest relaxation and dinner.

You will have morning breakfast then head for a morning game drive in Narus Valley, where you will have high chances of seeing abundant wildlife like elephants, buffalo herds, giraffes, zebras, lions, and many antelope species moving across the open plains. The early morning will increase your chances of seeing predators in action. You will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before heading out again in the afternoon. You will then visit a Karamojong community (manyatta), where you will learn about traditional cattle-keeping, dances, and cultural practices. After return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

You will drive toward the remote Kanangorok Hot Springs near the South Sudan border. You will explore one of the most untouched parts of the park, where you will enjoy vast landscapes and fewer tourist crowds. You will likely see wildlife such as ostriches, elephants, and antelopes along the way, and you may occasionally spot rare species depending on luck. You will spend time exploring the hot springs then return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, relax at the lodge.
