You will depart from Kampala or Entebbe early in the morning, west words through countryside characterized by rolling hills, traditional homesteads, tea plantations, and expansive cattle farms. Along the way, you will stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe, where you will have the opportunity to take photographs, enjoy refreshments, and participate in simple demonstrations that showcase the unique geographical significance of the Equator. You will continue your journey to Mbarara for lunch before proceeding to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, you will check in your lodge and take time to relax for dinner and an overnight stay.
You will begin your day with an early breakfast before setting out for an early morning game drive, where most wildlife is generally active in search for elephants, buffaloes, lions, hyenas, leopards, antelopes, and numerous bird species. After the safari, you will return to your lodge for lunch and a short period of relaxation. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. During the cruise, you will observe large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles along the shores, elephants drinking at the water's edge, buffaloes grazing nearby, and an impressive diversity of water birds. The cruise will provide excellent opportunities for photography and close observation of wildlife before you return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
