Safari Overview
After early morning breakfast, you will head for an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains section of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is the best time to spot predators like lions and leopards as well as large herds of Uganda kobs, elephants, buffaloes, and warthogs. The cool morning light also makes photography excellent. After return to the lodge for lunch and rest. In the afternoon go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway connects Lake Edward and Lake George and is famous for its extremely high concentration of hippos and crocodiles. Along the shores, you will also see elephants, buffaloes, and many bird species such as African fish eagles, kingfishers, and pelicans. The cruise offers a relaxed and close-up wildlife viewing experience different from the game drive.

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver guide for meet and greet then be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe/ Kampala, you will check in and relax after your flight, enjoy the hotel's amenities, or take in the peaceful surroundings as you prepare for the exciting safari adventure that begins the following day. You will be picked by our company driver guide to begin your journey westward through Uganda’s scenic countryside, passing small towns, roadside markets, and lush green landscapes with a stop at the Equator in Kayabwe, where you will take photos and observe the water experiment demonstration. Then continue through the rolling hills of the western region, with views of tea plantations and crater lakes. Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the evening and check into your lodge or tented camp for dinner and relaxation

After breakfast, begin your scenic drive south toward Bwindi through the Ishasha sector, known for its rare tree-climbing lions often seen resting in fig trees if you are lucky. Continue through changing landscapes from savannah to highland rainforest, with winding roads, terraced hills, and rural villages along the way. Lunch is usually taken en route. As you approach Bwindi, the air becomes cooler and misty, signaling arrival in the dense rainforest region. Check into your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Wake up early for breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will be assigned a gorilla family group before entering the forest for trekking. The hike can last between 2 to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Once you locate the gorillas, you will be allowed to have one hour in their presence to observe their behavior, interactions, and family structure. After trekking, return to the lodge for rest and lunch. In the afternoon, visit a nearby Batwa or local community to learn about traditional forest life, cultural dances, and crafts. This visit offers insight into how people once lived in harmony with the forest before it became a protected park.
